Terms of Service

1. 1. About the Platform

Worldseas is a community platform dedicated to the nautical and yachting world, published by Julien Boulard (sole trader, SIRET 101 454 577 00012). It allows members to share content, communicate via public chat and private messaging, participate in events and challenges, and progress through a gamification system (points, levels, badges, avatars).

2. 2. Registration & Account

Access to features requires creating a free account with a valid email address, confirmed via a verification link. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

Registration is restricted to users aged 16 and over. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact contact@worldseas.com immediately.

3. 3. Code of Conduct

You agree not to publish content that is:

• Unlawful, defamatory, abusive, hateful or discriminatory
• Infringing copyright, trademarks or third-party rights
• Pornographic, violent or disturbing
• Spam, unsolicited advertising or phishing
• Impersonating another person or entity

Any attempt to circumvent security systems, automated scraping or any act undermining platform integrity is strictly prohibited.

4. 4. User-Generated Content

You retain intellectual property ownership of your content. By publishing it, you grant Worldseas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the scope of the service.

Any reported content may be reviewed and removed without notice if it violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. 5. Moderation & Sanctions

In the event of a Terms violation, the following measures may apply:

• Warning
• Temporary restriction of certain features
• Temporary account suspension
• Permanent ban

In the case of manifestly unlawful content, Worldseas will report it to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.

6. 6. Gamification System

Points, badges, levels and avatars earned on Worldseas have no real monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, unless a specific feature explicitly provides for this.

Worldseas reserves the right to correct or remove gamification data in the event of detected cheating or abuse.

7. 7. Service Availability

Worldseas strives to keep the service accessible without interruption, but does not guarantee permanent availability. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

8. 8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings or by contacting contact@worldseas.com. . Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Some published content may be anonymised to preserve the coherence of discussion threads.

9. 9. Limitation of Liability

Worldseas cannot be held liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, nor for content published by users.

10. 10. Applicable Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought first. Failing that, the courts of La Seyne-sur-Mer shall have jurisdiction.

11. 11. Changes to the Terms

Worldseas reserves the right to modify these Terms. Users will be informed of any material changes by email or notification. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
